a. Site Visitor Data. CSSC routinely gathers data on site activity, such as how many people visit the site, the pages they visit, where they come from, how long they stay, etc. This data is typically collected on an aggregate, anonymous basis, which means that this data contains no personal information. This data is generally gathered through the use of Web server logs and cookies. A Web server log is a file where site activity is stored. A cookie is a small piece of information that our site sends to a visitor's computer, which is stored on his or her hard drive. Our cookies are not persistent, so they are deleted when you close your browser. Although a cookie may be assigned to a visitor's computer, we will not know who that visitor is unless that visitor specifically tells us. Visitor data is shared among CSSC subsidiaries and business units to improve site content and CSSC's overall services.
